aquaventure, mainit, bahura -- dec 13'05

recently me and my diving buddies are getting more bolder in exploring new resorts in anilao. we used to go to "outrigger" all the time and although we were quite satisfied with the service, people, food and place...we've decided, to be adventurous and try other places.

last nov 28, we tried "el pinoy" beach resort, according to sources it was previously owned by gabby c., but is now being run by a korean guy which they all fondly call "tatay". its a bit far compared to outrigger and you have to pass through a rough road, and 200 step-stairs to get there. the place is so so, a bit small, with lots of people (im not sure if its just coincidence)...resort day trip fee including buffet lunch is the same at around 600++ per head. excluding boat fee, dm fee and rentals. although i always rent my bc, reg and tank, this is the first time i actually used a difficult reg. i had a hard time breathing, i can feel the resistance everytime i breathe. now i know first hand what they mean, when they say "the last resort is the resort rental". all in all i spent 2300++ including the 2 dives.

next on our resort hopping is "aquaventure" resort. comparing aquaventure and el pinoy, i personally prefer aquaventure. for one its cheaper, you have to pay 400entrance fee - consumable. you can use it to pay for your buffet lunch which is only 300 or use it to rent equipments. i especially like the shower rooms because its bigger, and if you want to have a massage, there are masseurs available for 400/hr. most of all you only have to climb a few steps to get there. all in all i spent 2600 including 2 dives, lunch and massage.
