February 8 to 11, 2008 I Love Singapore Lah! Part 3/3

Feb 11

Feb 11 was our 4th and last day in Singapore :( sad...but all good things must come to an end…its not like we can live there… LOL!

Our flight is not until late afternoon, so we’ve decided to maximize our time in the morning and do some last minute walking tour at Orchard Road...

First, we had a leisurely paced breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Were trying to savor our last day at the buffet table, when my friend Moren, who currently works in Singapore, magically appeared at our table giggling “Ate Leah..Ate Leah!!” . “How did you get in?” I asked her. I was puzzled because the receptionist were always meticulously checking our room number against her master list every time we enter the restaurant. She said “nobody was at the reception, so I simply walked in”.

I was so happy to see her, because I haven’t seen her in 2 years, eversince she left to work in Dubai, and now in Singapore. …Minus the braces and except for a few pounds, she still looks the same, I hope she is also wiser and more experienced .

She toured us along Orchard, but we didn’t really go very far, because we got stuck in a store somewhere. Ditse just cannot leave Singapore without buying tons of clothes.

We went to Plaza Singapura and took some pictures.

Moren and I just coudnt keep up with my Mom, Ditse and Sister’s shopping powers…so we sat on the floor and waited…. At this point my legs are numb and tired from too much walking…

We went back to the hotel around 2pm. The reception wanted us to pay for an extra 2 hours for both rooms, because we checked out late…I had to argue that when we checked it they made us wait for more than 2 hours and I didn’t complain. Now they’re charging me? So they agreed to just charge 1 hour for 1 room. When I saw the billing, they included a bottle of mineral water in the charges. This again raised my eyebrow a few inches so they agreed to take it out. Moral lesson…always check your billing statement.

While I was arguing with reception, my mom sister and evita were taking pictures at the lobby…

This is our hotel ..except for the charges they tried to pin on me…it wasn’t so bad…in fact I liked it …simply because its clean…the foods not bad…the facilities are complete..and its near SMART station.
As part of the package, somebody picked us up at the hotel to take us to the airport…

Queuing to check in at the PAL counter at the Changi airport

Last minute pictures at the airport

Waiting to board the plane…

At the plane back to Manila

At Naia 1, Waiting for our ride to take us back home

We were hungry so we had dinner at KFC in cubao before we went back home.

This trip was a dream come true for me, and although it wasn’t cheap …..it was worth every penny.
