this is going to be a short because...i actually did nothing in penang but .. eat, attend some trainings and ..work. we had this 4 day development day for senior analysts which was held in evergreen laurel hotel in gurney rd, penang malaysia.

my movements were kinda limited to....airport, hotel, gurney mall, hawkers, hotel, airport...that's it.

at least the view from my hotel room is refreshing..

during the cultural night, were in costume because we danced a medly of phil folk dances, we did pandango sa ilaw, maglalatik and jota de manila.

dinner at nando's or was it nardo's..their chicken is great..yum yum..one of the best ive tasted since birt.

on my last night in penang...me and my buddy zaini...to celebrate the day we met face to face....though weve been talking to each other for ages...

the end...see nothing much happened in penang...im looking forward to another trip there...im keeping my fingers crossed. :)

day 1 - april 14
its good friday, i flew in to singpore with let. jeanette picked us up at the airport and took us to their flat to drop off our stuff.....it was raining pretty hard so we grabbed some umbrellas and headed to the nearest church to hear good friday mass..the service was solemn and very peaceful

....afterwards we walked on the nearby mall (parkway ), had dinner (noodles).. before heading back to jeans home.

i met jean's sister, mom , dad and their adorable cat gucci. they were all so nice and hospitable. jean's dad even took us to the hotel ...it was so touching:)

after checking in to our hotel (perak lodge, in little india), we rode a taxi to visit the night safari...wow..awesome place... we rode the tram, walked the trails, and watched the show. we saw some pretty rare animals ..

we went home around midnight coz we were trying to catch the last bus...then we took the last train...until we ran out of tranportation and finally gave up and took a taxi...

day 2 - april 15

let and i woke up around 8am...took our breakfast consisting of toast butter and strawberry jam...simply because there is nothing else to choose from. then we headed off to sim lim mall (which is only a few step from our hotel) to window shop, lots of it stuff there, digicams, computer stuff, ipods, cellphones, flash memory, mp3 players......and relatively cheap too...afterwards we had lunch and headed off to sentosa.

we left sentosa around 7pm...we missed the musical fountain show....because it began to rain...again...

we went window shopping in one of the malls..i think suntec...(sounds like it)...then we headed to esplanade theaters by the bay

we saw some bikers on the subway...hanging out and playing around with their bikes

and meet my boyfriend in singapore.....he's brave and strong...but not that tall...hahaha

this is the famous raffles hotel...i guess this is the side view..not the normal view that you see...because were just too tired to go the other way and settled for this view instead...let and i were practically dragging our feet...

but we realized we can still squeeze a few more shopping hours so weve decided we'll visit mustafa mall ...and golly we were there until 2am..this is the height of shopping for me...hahahha

day 3 - april 16

i dont have many pictures for this day....because i can summarize this day in just one word ... SHOPPING....

we bought perfumes, jewelries, jades, cellphones, bags, shirts, watches, mp3 players etc etc etc...then afterwards i had the gall to ask myself... where did all my money go???? ha ha ha...

we went to lucky plaza...where most of the shoppers are filipinos, you go to the restroom, foodcourt...youll see our kababayans smiling at you...its just like being in a local mall.

we went back to sim lim...an realized we could have bought a cheaper 512mb sd card....for 35s$ instead of the 40s$ i bought....sheezz...

this day we slept a little early because we have an early flight tomorrow to penang.

i just love singapore.....i will miss it, would definitely go back someday...once ive recovered financially...hahhaha :)
