korean inspired celebration
last Friday, me and my friends decided we'll do a korean inspired celebration for tina's despedida and rica's birthday party.
we started out having dinner at "san sung" restaurant in makati ave. It’s a cozy korean restaurant near the makati "red district". The owner (I was just guessing she's the owner), is very warm and friendly even though she cant talk much english or filipino….although we did catch a few "anyongaseo…and kasanghamnida". She's also very generous and gave us so many free "side dishes"....at the end we were begging her to just give the food to the other customers because were just too full.
Its my first time to eat korean food except for "kimchi" but I found myself liking the 'sweet-garlicy-chilly', taste very much. We had tofu soup, steamed egg, hot squid, fried sweet pork (which you have to eat with lettuce and bean paste…I think), rice and lots and lots of side dishes.
As expected most of the customers that night were koreans, so our group was like the thorn among the roses, but ironically we're the noisiest bunch…imagine 12 giggling girls all talking at the same time….what a riot…but we were so unaffected, that one of the waitress asked us to lower down our voice because the other tables were complaining. Ha ha ha whats new?
After dinner we decided to go to a korean videoke place called "dontelmama" , don’t ask me about the name because were out of our wits trying to figure it out. We rented a room for 1000pesos an hour(but we got a 20% discount…how? Secret…:)) the room was great, It's so big we can dance jump or run around if we like, there's a private cr (but they only have urinals no toilet bowl), a huge sofa that can probably seat 15 people, 9 tv screens stacked like a video wall, disco lights, mike stands (if you're in a concert mood) and my favorite tamborines. We sang korean songs (uchi has her own songbook with romanized lyrics) and english songs (I can still hear papa don’t preach on my head until now), we danced (pbb dance steps), we laughed, we joked around, and we partied until morn.
It was a grand time... tina already left for the US…"tina enjoy your stay there and see you in 2 months"…rica's birthday is over…"happy birthday rica, wish you all the best" ... but I will never forget that "korean night"…..guys, guys... lets do it again soon :)

mainit and mainit school
after only a week, me and my friends went diving again last sunday, 2 Oct 2005. i guess nitrox has an addictive component and we cant get enough of it...we just had to enhale it again and again...LOL!
this time we visited the dive sites "mainit", and "mainit school"...you're probably wondering about the "school"...it was named that way because there's an elementary school at the shore opposite the dive site...the "mainit" i cant expalin because the water felt really cold, it was chilling down there...its ironic.
depth is 106ft...its my first time to reach this depth, i didnt feel anything out of the ordinary though. i saw a shark...but i didnt know it at that time, for me it was just a huge fish..i even thought it was a baracuda...but when we surfaced i asked mike...'what was that fish you were pointing to me earlier?' ...he said "thats a shark"...and i said something like "ngii...a yon ba yung pating?" i guess i wasnt born with "fish sense".
my skills are improving specially my bouyancy, that's what everybody was saying so it must be safe to believe them.
i love the sea but i hate the sun....so here i am sitting in the boat shed between dives...it might be hard to recognize me with all the sunblock on my face, i looked like a ghost...
since its not soo hot..ive decided to go and play with cj...plus i have to do something in the water..guess??
after 2 dives...i looked so tired..i can stay in that chair for days
view at the deck of outrigger resort...i love this view
i wish i have an underwater camera...calling my fairy grand mother..yooohooo!

just another update on my "star wars" series
i was talking to the jedi on the phone earlier and you know what he told me? naging kami daw in the past... i told him HUUWAT??? DEFINITELY NOT!! but still he kept on insisting that we used to have a special romantic relationship.
...so i told him "ok just for arguments sake that we really had a relationship...have we ever kissed? held hands? or touched?"
...after a long pause..he said "nope" but added "its because you had a boyfriend at that time and you dont want to be unfaithfull"
...again "HUWATT??" (i can feel my voice raising and my blood boiling at this point...hope the next cubicle didnt hear me) talk about wild imaginations.
...so i told him..."how can you even think we had a relationship and for the record and just so you know, we will never have one now or in the future"
...he said "thats brutally frank of you"...well i had to do it the guy didnt give me any choice...there's a limit for my being nice.
lessons learned : be careful how you act around guys, some of them can have really sick minds.

kilig
its been along long time since ive felt this "kilig" feeling...
im glad i was wrong...and that my heart has not turned to stone...it just needs a very special person to make it work again... too bad he cant be "the one"... but i wanted to thank him just the same, for making me realize that im still a normal.
